is it legal to cut the palms on your glove???
i know in some leagues its legal...
but i heard my friends saying that
its illegal here in Illinois...
I didnt really know where to put this thread..

You are not allowed to have any holes in your palms of the gloves bigger than a nickle. Basically if you cut them you will be scrwed. If a small hole appears and it grows that is usually fine, but as long as it is still smaller than a coin. I have alreayd thought this rule has been pretty bogus, but I just love playing with my gloves on, I cant throw the ball with my stick without my glvoes on, Its just unatural to me it seems.

actaully if the holes occur naturally, they just make u put tape over them, if they appear to be cut its illegal

how would the refs know though?

you can clearly tell when the palms are cut because they usually appear to be cleaner cut then if a whole had appeard. When a hole appears, there is usually fraying around the whole.

i mean, would people check each people's gloves to see if its cut or not?
i know that refs do stick checks during games but i dont know about
other equipments

a ref will either see it and call it right away or usually they ask to see the palms during a stick check. it depends on the ref

The penalty is not worth it. If you have cut gloves, you might as well get another pair. I don't know what level you are at, or how uptight they are, but it is considered illegal equipment, and you will be man-down. Definitely not worth it.
