Do most of the new Brine heads, (nitrous cyber edge-x radius blaze matrix etc.), have the exact same structure except with different sidewall designs?

not really...some might compare but for the most part no. of course you could probably say that for any stick that has the same pinch.

But just look at them!! They have the same scoop design, almost the same offset pattern, and the same where the head plugs in. The only diff I see is the number of holes and the sidewall

what about the pinch? you compare a nitrous and a blaze and get back to me

They don't have the same pinch? I didnt know, but they still have the same scoop designs.

The heads are similar but than again I could say all the stx sticks are similar as well.
Oh and there is definatly a difference between the nitrous and the blaze. lol:laugh

the scoops are not the same. the offsets are not the same. look at a radius and a nitrous, a cyber an an edge
cyber has a far different offset than an edge and the vapor has a different offset than the nitrous. their heads are diverse, except for the 1.9 trillion edge spin-offs. so in reality, brine is diverse. scoops should be similar, but the cyber has the best one. debeer has 2 styles of scoops on their heads, the flat one and the rounded one, on the triton and the torque, respectively. you really have to look at the architecture of a head to notice differences, which i won't get into.

But the Edge is not a new brine head!! Unless ur talking about the edge-x which has the same 4 holes and 2 triangles on the scoop that every new brine head has. I think the nitrous and maybe another has more holes on top, but they ALL have the same holes on the scoop don't they???

well yea but thats because they feel it makes the head better. perhaps more aerodynamic. but if u make a great head...then wanna make a better one, wont u use good design point on the first head to help u out?

Sure, I just didn't know if they actually did that, BTW is it still possible to dye the new Brine heads?

u mean the ones with the control x in them? yeah, you can, it just won't be the same color as the head.

I mean like any new brine head like cyber, aren't they made of a softer feeling plastic?
um, actually, the holes are for extra stringing options. that's what some brine rep said, that kids could use those for stringing because the only other thing they do is reduce weight.
no, a stronger and lighter plastic. debeer and brine make the toughest heads.

Oh ok but still dyeable?

Honestly, you've brought up the issue that most modern heads don't vary that much. The Brine heads do have different structures, but they're not nearly as radical as Brine would make you think. So they're not exactly the same, they do have differences that are noticeable to the eye even aside from the sidewall, but nothing terribly significant. The Blaze is flimsy and wide, the matrix has the flared-in sidewalls, the nitrous is a less extreme matrix and a little stiffer, the cyber does the whole offset at the throat and then levels out at the end, the Edge-X and Prophecy have the rubber stuff. The scoops on all heads are generally the same, minus the box-friendly scoops on some heads. Other companies have varying plastics, I do agree with raine when he says that Brine and Debeer produce the most durable heads. Supposedly Shamrock has study heads as well, but their designs blow *** so unless I got one for free I couldn't justify actually paying money for one.
