My coach told me that you have to put your inside leg inside your arm. Doesn't sound right and feel right. Is this true?

What i mean is this....
1.) You are a facing off right handed
2.) Do you have to put your right leg inside of your right arm or can you go past it?

Rubbish. The entire body must be to the left of the plastic part of the crosse. No restriction of hands vs. feet positioning. See:

The official shall place the ball on the ground in the center of the 4- inch-wide line. The players shall stand on the same side of the field as the goal each is defending. The official shall indicate to both players to assume their respective positions at the same time by saying “down.” The crosses and gloves shall rest on the ground along the center line, parallel to each other up to, but not touching, the center line.

The official shall make certain that the reverse surfaces of the crosses match evenly and are perpendicular to the ground. Each player must have both hands wrapped around the handle of his own crosse, touching the ground. The right hand may not touch any part of the head of the crosse. The player's feet may not touch his crosse. Both hands and feet of each player must be to the left of the throat of his crosse. Each player must be positioned so his entire body is to the left of the throat of his crosse. It is legal to lean over the center line.

There appears to be some confusion about this (and I don't know if it includes you but) you have to face off "right handed". That's what is meant but the wording "must be to the left of the throat of the crosse. Apparently a nasty rumor spread around Vermont last year that you could face off "left handed". I had to explain the rule to face-off men four or five times.

As noted, every part of your body has to be left of the throat of your crosse when facing off. Since most players will have their right hands right up to the head of the stick, what your coach may have been trying to coach you on is that if your knee is outside of your right arm, there's a good chance it will be sticking into the neutral zone and you could lose the faceoff on an IP. While it is not a rule that the knee must be inside the arm, if you do otherwise, make sure your positioning is sound.

try puting your arm outside your knee and get schooled
actually i knew one kid who did that but all he did was go for fastbreaks on rakes forward
anyone who clamps jumps anything else wil want to put their arm inside because it gives you a lot more support to push off of
it also keeps you form putting weight on our hands
but its not illegal to put your arm on the outside

Both of my arms are inside my legs when I faceoff. So yes my right leg is outside my right arm. My left arm is more of right in front of my left knee than inside but whatever.
