Yet again my love is proved well-founded. FEAR THE TURTLE 'cause it'll come back and bite ya in the *** (yes, pun intended!).
So much for UVA's showing against JHU. I think this solidifies UMD's #1 ranking because they beat UVA while UVA beat JHU (previous #1 men's team).
What is everyone's thoughts? Read below link for more information on UMD's slashing of UVA.

I dont think it has any bearing on the jhu umd game at all, different teams get up for different games, and umd definatly had a reason to be up for this one (although i would think that jhu wouldve as well, but thats a whole nother story), comparing like opponents is the worst way to judge a team.
we'll have to wait till the 17th to see, but yes it does look like md is the cream of the crop as of now.
Just remember that untill the uva game thats what we all said bout hopkins.

I went to the MD - UVA game.. UVA was scared.. they looked like they didnt even wanna be there.. MD was just holding the ball and running the clock down.. tillman got ripped from everywhere.. although he had a few impressive saves.. UVA just didnt look good.. and Xmas is having a terrible season... i think he might be injured or something hes not as quick as last year

The MD-UVA-Hop triangle suggests nothing about Hop/MD. The only game that matters this week is Md/Navy.
MD wholloped G'town 14-5
Navy beat G'town 7-5
So according to the statistical method of game analysis, MD wins easily but I'm not sure that's the case.

thats not always true though... thats the great thing about college sports... any team can win on any given day

Well, in a defensive game it is very easy for an upset. With Navy vs. UMD the combine score may not get over 15 so, Maryland better watch themselves

i do not beleivve that the navy players recieved the memo about fearing the turtle... I would like to point to the second post in this subject and say that i was right.
I would also like to point out one of the more impressive teams this year is unc... yes they have lost 3 games but look at them.
3 games by 3 Goals isnt bad to any team, but when they are to hop umd and navy its proves that they are right there they just need to push it over the top.

I think Navy's mental and physical toughness helped them.
...sigh. Next time Terps...next time.

It seems to me that Navy plays like a team. Coming in to the season I knew one player on there team compared to the 8 to 12 I know from other great teams. There just sold, play as a team, and believe. That is how they got to where they are.
