ya i was there, it was an intense game...ive got nothing against MD im from MD myself, so all of my family was puling full the terps but i was just like sorry guys duke has this one & what do ya know?there were a lot of sloppy mishaps on both teams but overall that's going to be an awesome match up later in the finals...as i said in the other thread duke had a lot of penalties & that really hurt them...i didnt pay much attention but whoever was in goal for Duke the majority of the game did a good job, especially the dive save in the beginning...something i question is refs & slash calls....like i could have missed something but i seems to me like nowadays if a hit is loud basically they'll call it....there were 2 hits specifically where i was leaning against the fence about 15-20 ft away watching...one was a middie, he threw an awesome wrap check & hit the maryland players head(plastic)..it made this like crack sound & a ref immediatley threw a flag....that one was understandable it was near the head...the other one i remember was also against duke & it was a defender, he threw a slap check hit the attackmens elbow pad, made a crack sound, he got a minute....but either way interesting outcome & im lookin forward to a match up later in the season

Well so much for dukes undefeated season but look at last year the teams are very similair and last year Maryland one the ACC bu than got whooped in the NCAA Tournament at the end of the year. Look out for Duke's pay back, this could have been a preview of the championship final this year, it could be marylands year.

It doesn't seem like goaltending was the problem for Duke, but their loaded offense wasn't allowed to go on any decisive runs.

i met harry alford yesterday. but thats beside the point. yesterday both teams had a lot of careless mistakes like missed passes and dropped balls while cradling. i think that Marylnad won because they out shot duke. if you looked at the shot stats, maryland had about 40, but duke only had about 30.
