Yea I'm no goalie, but it seems like soft would be the best. I mean, you don't need speed on your throw, and soft mesh will give a lot more, thus retaining the ball better, when you are trying to stop shots...

dont listen to any of them you want monster mesh it gives you a nice pocket and soft mesh doesnt form a pocket nicely like 14 or 12D would and hard mesh gives you better control and you why the heck wouldnt you need speed on your throw what if you making a clear thats to a middy up field? and it does not retain the ball better because its SOFT meaningit will bounce out

yeah i figured soft wasnt that great for goalies. my abyss had soft and it bounced out real easy.

either hard mesh or 12 diamond mesh work best imo. soft mesh sucks. its great if you want to absorb rebounds, its also great for becoming unusable in the rain and for throwing like crap

i like soft mesh since i dont like how new hard meshs are so hard..
i know that you can soak it in hot/soapy water or whatever to make it soft,
but i guess im way too lazy to go through all that stuff..
soft mesh stretches alot so its kinda hard to keep my pocket legal..
but other than that, its a great mesh.. i dont really know why many
people think soft meshs are so crappy... it works great for me.
