Alright I'm getting new gloves and I can't decide what to get. It's either the Warrior Superstars, Brine XFactor Gels or STX Pro Amps. Any suggestions?

Hey guys, I am here in Hawaii at my dad's business meeting. In response to your post I would definitely go with the Brine X-Factor Gels. They are sweet and have amazing thumb protection. It doesn't take very long to break in. I don't think the price is too bad compared to the Warrior gloves. I got mine back in January/February for like $125, and I'm pretty sure that the price have decreased. Good luck, Steve

dude- dont go for the warriors, the thumb protection blows, i dont care what other guys say... the stx pro amps are ok, but the thumb feels hella awkward especially if you play an entire game... the supercrosse gloves aren't made for goalie (or so my team leads me to believe)... which leaves, ta-da, the brine x-factor gels, which in my opinion are the best gloves out there right now for goalies, no matter what skill level

hope that helps

stx pro amp ignitors, if you werent thinking of them. if you get them broken in (doesnt take much) and just play around in em for a day or 2 youll love em.

I dont play goalie but one of hte goalies on my old HS team used X-Factor Gels and loved 'em. I've also heard from field players that the Gels are good too. I'd reccomend those. One of the boys goalies used the Superstars but he was kind of an...well suffice to say I'm not surprised he had Superstars.

actually, ive played goalie for 3 years now(my entire lax career), but unfortunatly our team got a new coach, and well, we clash in opinion so i have been forced to play attack..... im not just pulling stuff outta my ***. i still love goalie and i think it is the best position in lax but im playing attack because i have to. oh and no offense taken. btw thats me in my avater, # 45. i didnt realize that these forums were discriminate. i was only trying to help...:cry

stay away from the superstars they were designed for maximum protection around ur wrist and stuff so they feel really bulky and its very very hard to cradle...also stay away from debeers i had all star coach that liked to warm me up incorrectly and crank the ball at me and sure enough the padding fell right out of the thumb..

Hey Lancer,

I play mostly Box/Indoor so I've been using RPMs (Wings? Who thought that would be a good idea?)...I don't need to cradle a lot, when you play indoor/Box you don't come out of the crease a lot--SO: Max protection is key to Box, since your "ready stance" is not very mobile. In those circumstances, do you think the Superstars would be cool? We really require max protection...

o right...in my area we play indoor with outdoor nets so im usually not thinking about that...ya the superstars would be a good choice for box but theyre pretty pricey.

Alright, the answer! harharhar!
If you're an outdoor keeper, there's no question that you want the x-factor by STX, they're nice and light, so stickhandling is no problem. While maintaining great protection on the hand and thumb, however the wrist is a little questionable, but if you're stopping the ball with your wrist, well, you might want to re-think the way you're stopping the ball.
If you're an indoor keeper, you want either the superstars or the gloves by debeer. Big, Bulky, in other words, they might as well be hockey goalie gloves.
But remember that for outdoor it can go either way, if you're just staying in your net, a pure ball stopper who wants to take up room, go with debeer or warrior. however, if you run the ball and stick handle a lot, you really really want to go with the x-factors, they are simply your best bet.

and remember east coasters...Detroits on the move!

LOL, I can't wait til I win the lottery so I can buy my Superstars for indoor and my Ignitors or X-Factors for outdoor!

go with the ignitors they have the best mobility dont get the xfactors the thumb protection is like a big cup thing that i dont like my preference
