I am thinking about getting some of those Nike contacts, the amber ones, for lacrosse. They say that they help you track the ball better, which would be good for me, plus they make you look like a bamf. I would really like that since I play man down, d-middie, and fogo, as well as middie, and intimidation is a big factor I think in the first 3. So has anybody used them or known people that used them and can tell me how much they really work and if they are worth it?

Awesome, thanks for the quick replys guys, and I guess I should have searched, I just haven't been on in a while, so the thought never really crossed my mind. But now that it's open, does anybody know how long they really last? I would assume longer than the specified month since you wouldn't wear them much.

I heard something about those for baseball. they're supposed to block out greenish colors and make the seams on the ball more visible. they would probably be good for lacrosse too.

as long as you take care of them they will last longer then a month, like you said you'll really only be wearing them on games days and what not.

How much do they sell these things for?

I was just complaining that I'm sometimes having trouble seeing a (dull) white ball inside an arena that has a grey sport floor, (dull) white walls and white ceiling. Amber tinted lenses might be just the ticket.

like everyone has asked are they legal?

I know they are legal in football, hence the new NCAA football rule that bans tinted visors.

"After seeing the number of eye shield requests expand rapidly in the past four years, the committee voted to eliminate the use of tinted eye shields during games. In reports from the NCAA's Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sport and the National Athletic Trainers Association, both groups supported eliminating this allowance. Both groups noted that there are alternatives to the helmet shields if an eye condition warrants protection (contact lenses, sport goggles, etc.)."

i dont think there's a way to scientifically prove if they work. Ive used them and yes, they do offer a benefit. However, I dont think its a benefit worth me spending my money on, because im poor. If money wasnt a factor, id probably wear them at every game and practice

they should totally make them in white how sweet would that be to look like you had no eyes that would be tight/scarier(sp)

^^^ they sell those, but not for what these contacts do, these contacts are tinted for better vision on the field. The white ones would just look sweet.

Who cares about tinted I'm getting the ones that make your eyes look white(like Zack Attack 12 wanted) That would be so awesome and intimidating.

I think that brian Roberts of the Baltimore Orioles used them last year. He had a career season last year. He Loves Them.
