This article sank without a trace. It ran in the NYT Sports section on Sunday, February 26. I found it while stacking up papers for the recycling. It is already gone from the Times website other than in the archives. There's an excerpt at PSAL.org, and that's about it. To see the beginning of the article at PSAL, use the "cache" option in Google. I can keyboard in the entire article should there be demand. I don't know how the moderators feel about the resultant blatant copyright violation, though.

Early one Saturday in the basketball capital of the world, the echoes of whistles and sneaker squeaks bounced off the gymnasium walls at A. Philip Randolph High School in West Harlem.
Under the watchful eye of their instructor, Mat Levine, and several coaches, a few dozen athletes in uniform scrambled around the court, taking part in ball-handling, shooting and passing drills, and learning how to box out opponents.
