He's a meathead. That's a jam. You basically get the biggest, strongest kid on your team to take his shaft and crosscheck the opposing F/O guy's hands to the ground. You do that when he's too quick and your F/O guys can't beat him. Every team has at least one.
I was thinking about doing something like that this year. I have a defenseman/LSM who wanted to do FO with his long stick. He is enormous at 6'4" and roughly 250lbs. (14 years old). He is pretty quick and I think could make a huge difference as a longpole faceoff every now and then.

According to the rosters that's a 5' 11" 155lb Hostra player playing D against a 6'4" 230lb Hopkins player.

He is massive, and his feet size look like they could be about 14 or 15.
And he is not lurpy, he is filled out and his weight matches his height.
and are they playing Hobart?

Thing is, you really don't have to be quick. I wouldn't recommend doing it with a pole cuz I saw one snap in half from jamming once. A CU31 shaft would be sufficient for it...doubt that would snap. I wouldn't do it all the time...just when there's a F/O guy that your F/O guy can't beat.
When you do it, put your two fastest poles on the wings and tell them to play the defensive side first so they don't get caught on the wrong side of a fast break with a SS in the box. You could also do it with your fastest offensive player (mid or attackman) on one wing so he can pick it up and try to get a fast break right away.
By jamming their facer, your facer should be trying to push their facer off of the X and let the wing players come in behind him for the ground ball.I have a quick clamp and I've had guys use that against me. It works and somtimes they get in between your gloves and arm pads. The guys some times get called if they stay on my hands too long. If you're very fast with the clamp you'll still beat them.

The Hofstra player is tiny, and this guy is your average 6'4ish player. CPXs are tiny helmets, I personally cannot fit into one and im like 6'5 200. #34 is seriously like 130 lbs.
Isnt that Tom Duerr, cause if so its insultign to call him a meathead a football crossover or a no-skill-all-size-and-strength palyer, he is the second leading scorer in New Jersey history. But hes a BEAST check out this pic it makes him look huge too, http://www.lax.com/cimages/bigs/15/1563-20.jpg

No no no no, The hoftra player is tiny. Needless to say the jhu play is big but look at the stick head compared to the hoftra player look at the size of his ankles and such the guys smaaall.
