View Full Version : gagging on mouthpiece

it seems to be getting better but sometimes when i am in the middle of practice i gag on my mouthpiece, i trimmed it about 1/3 of an inch at the back teeth part but sometimes it still makes me gag. anyone else ever had this problem and does it go away once u get used to the mouthpiece? i almost puked the other day lol

welcome!! try putting this into the training forum or equipment forum..... and yea it should go away after a while....

yeah one of my friends almost died choking on his retainer....my advice to everybody is to get a dental one where they mold it exactly to your teeth. i understand there's a cost issue (i dont know how much they are), but a kid on my team got them for us for like $25 b/c his dad is a dentist and did all the work. if you can afford it i'd go with one of those.

sounds like your mouth piece is too big for your mouth.. .. don't know how large your mouth is but you might need a "YOUTH" size.. and you can trim some of back off... did you read the instrutions?...HMMM???

yeah smaller mouth guard .... i thought that if you cut it in any way ..then the guarantee doesnt work ne more
