I have the pretty much the same tape setup as you, four rings of tape up top, two where I have my top hand when I shoot, and a gatorade cap taped up nice at the bottom, then tape going up the shaft for 4 to 6 inches, depending on the stick. It does make a little differece to have tape on a shaft, but it's a small price to pay. (however, if you hate any extra weight, I guess you would say it makes a difference, I persoanlly, dontl mind it.

I don't think you can actually feel the half an ounce extra tape weighs. It is probably just your imagination.

Man if you guys are complaining about tape weighing down your stick...you seriously haveto hit the weights. I use more tape than both of you two and I don't notice any difference in weight. I have an all tape butt, tape 12 inches up from butt, tape 12 inches down from throat, and a ring 16 inches up from the butt.

all together it's 2/3 of my stick taped. I wasn't complaining about the weight, I was saying it's hardly noticeable. I've tried a harrow and I'm not too fond of it. Tape is much better.

your kidding right? i mean thats barley any tape, and i mean its a 1/16 of an inch thick piece of cloth that weighs virtualy nothing in the amount you put on. i mean really. you might be able to notice like a TINY difference in mustangs case but really. i have a howitzer, a razer pro with a rock-it-pocket, and i dont shoot any slower with that which is actually noticeably lighter then with my primer and db803. sorry about being mean but it just seems a little silly about complaining about tape weight.

seriously, it's tape...it doesn't weight that much. It's silly that you're even complaining about it crazydrew

There's a difference between weighing down your stick to the point that its heavy or messing up your stick's balance/kilter with tape.

That may be what he's talking about. I did it two hours ago taping up my pole.

I agree with you, but I have heard plenty of kids complain to me about such things. A kid I coached for three years complained to me about how heavy things were (he is just weak). He is now playing JV and complains about the weight of pockets (???). I'm sorry, I couldn't keep my composure and had to set him straight. He now goes to the gym and has shut up about the weight of pretty much everything. It's always A/M's that complain it seems. I used to play D and all defensement and LSM's that I have ever spoken to don't seem to be concerned. In fact, when I ask my defensement about weight they tell me something to the effect of "I promise I'm eating right coach!" :monkey:

Dude,

A whole fracking roll of tape weighs less than an ounce.
Tape, tape, and be merry.
