Hey, i just got some 5d mesh from one of my friends (new). I do not know what brand it is and it is very soft and has allot of give. This makes it so there is no one place for a pocket and the pocket is wherever the ball is. Is this a problem? If so how do i fix it?

interesting..well not much u could do...what i do with soft mesh..if i ever use it ...is get some mud and sand...get it all over the mesh and then throw out most of the guck...get a pocket pounder or the end of a water bottle and run it through hrd for 5 min to get the mud soaked in...then do the ball and butterknife trick...u ahve one messy looking head...but it works!

yea man doesnt sound like a problem...just sounds like soft mesh with bigger holes and ppl use soft mesh so you should be good.

I have actual "soft 5D mesh." Jimalax sent me a few pieces when I asked for a softer version of the 5D because the batch I had gotten earlier was rock hard. So they sent me those pieces with a note saying "Careful what you wish for!" I haven't used it yet, but what you are talking about isn't bad. It might have whip and you might just have to adjust to it if you plan on using it.

I have an extremely soft piece of 5di. I hate it. It is the piece you gave me Orange and I plan on giving back. There is so much whip in it.

I worked my 6D in a ton before I strung it and it is basically like soft mesh, and I have no problems. It has great hold and throws awesome, I just had to put in a lot of shooters to get it to throw exactly how I wanted.

Hair spray if you want to make it stiffer. Water repellant sealer works wonders.
