Stick not holding the ball

Ok so my problem is my stick wont hold the ball, it just falls out. I have it with one V two straight and a nylon. is there anything i can do to add more hold?

Maybe change that V into a U, but other than that it is def. your pocket. You cant have good hold without a deep pocket.

weave your shooters that usually gives me a lot more hold than rolled shooters

tighten the bottom shooter
be careful just a bit will add whip
but does miracles for hold

It also depends on the mesh. Mesh w/ smaller diamonds have worse hold than larger diamonds.

You can also wet you mesh and pound it to soften it up a little to get better hold.

mesh is too hard or you have to diamond that has less hold than less diamonds

7 Diamond Mesh has considerably good hold, I highly doubt that is what he is using...

As the above posters said, it probably lies somewhere in his shooting configuration, try tightening the bottom shooter a wee bit.

You basically said, you cant have hold without a deep pocket, then you said you have great hold with a shallow pocket.

There is many ways to accuire hold. A larger diamond or softer mesh.

Put some whip in the shooters.

Deepen the pocket.

Now if your stick is barely legal and you don't want whip go to a larger diamond mesh. Or live with the whip and gain some hold.

Try Traditional maybe?
Trad can be strung so specific to your needs it can be whipless but hold, if you can live with the matenince

Work on your stick skills also, faking properly and good technique during dodges makes up for lack of hold.
