Razor Pro - Topping the ball

Couldnt decide whether this is equipment or stick tech, but does anyone else with a razor pro seem to have a slight top to the ball? As in when you throw, the ball rolls such that the ball hits the lip of the razor pro, which is slightly more curved than other heads. ITs not a REAL problem, my shooters are as tight as can be on the top, which means it shouldnt release like that.

try stringing a nylon (really really tight) above your top shooting string. that is what i do and it solves the problem for me.

I mean, this head did this. Believe me, i know my heads. I have had many a head, but nothing like this has ever happened before.

yeah, the razer pro could have a huge lip problem. i duno i hate mesh and love RP'which never have any lip problems.

heads don't have lip..your stringing does. I've strung Torques, Evo Pro's, Razer Pro's and a bunch of other heads for my team mates and none of them have had lip. On the very top row, as in the row right below the top string, string a tight nylon, as tight as can be. This automatically eliminates whip

i dont have this and i have 6d mesh in mine. i have two shooters and it comes off so nice. and my shooters are really loose they arent even slightly tight

It's called lip. Put a tight nylon above your top shooter. If that doesn't work, there are many other soutions on this sight, just look around. It doesn't have to do with the head. It's the stringing.

A head can do that... My Razer Pro hits the top too and you're right, it's caused by the extreme curve in the scoop. But at least it's godly for ground balls.

high. And Talent and Laxn (ian) hit it on the head. The razor pros scoop is abnormally angled, take a look at it compared to most other sticks. Something about superior scooping ability. It can be easily fixed with a very tight nylon at the top, however you want the bottom to be for your sweet spot.

I bought a razor pro with the original RP on it, and no matter what i did to it, it caught the lip. So I unstrung it string by string(that was an adventure), and put some old 6d on it, and I love it. I have 4 shooters, with a corona string at the bottom of the first row of diamonds, i don't get any lip at all.

What are you smoking? I just got my 2nd gen yesterday, and strung it up with a low Jima 8D pocket, with 2 straight and 1 U shooter and it has no lip at all, but just a little bit 'o' whip. Whip is like salt, it's good in small amounts.

Mine does this as well, it doesnt hit off the scoop when i throw because the way i strung it, but if i roll the ball in the head it does hit the scoop and sometimes on light passes i can feel it top the scoop.
