Can anybody help clarify "the jump" drill that Duke runs? I understand the clearing for either a fast break or slow break, but then when action is done on that side of the field it goes like "then they clear down the field for a 5 on 5". . . and here is where I get confused.
On that end of the field, there are 3 attackmen and 3 defensemen. . . which 2 middies and 2 defensemen break downfield (from the now dead slow or fast break) for the 5 on 5? Or do 2 totally different players jump in?
Any help would be great, as this would definetly be a great drill to run.
