in my HS, lacrosse is a new sport(2nd year and we only have a JV team). most of the kids on the baseball team make fun of us(my friends and i) and lacrosse. we just kick their a**es and make fun of them right back(our 18 kid team could eaisly win in a fight against Jv and varsity baseball) also the Hs gym teacher HATES  lacrosse. he keeps trying to et us kicked out of our locker room and if he finds lax sticks in the locker room, he either takes or breaks them. i was wondering if any one else has this problem and how they respond to it?

at our school our baseball coach told us if we ever find baseballs to give them to him because he makes them run for every baseball we find, so last year a bunch of us went to sports authority and bought atleast 3 dozen balls and got them a little dirty so it was believeable and we gave them to him and they had to run for a very logn time that day, the baseball team is pretty much at war with the lacrosse team at our school but they haven't been able to top that yet, the only thign they did back was throw toilet paper all over our team room, which we showed their coach and he made them do alot of running.

Just to let you know, your PE teacher has no right to confiscate your lacrosse sticks if there is no rule against having them. Breaking personal property is not only unprofessional, it is illegal. You need to report his actions and harassing behavior to your parents, advisor, and principal/headmaster.
I am a teacher and a coach and even I have problems. My problem is keeping my composure when dealing with the baseball coach. He had 12 people try out for his team (all dregs) and I had 52 try out for my lacrosse team. Needless to say, he took it personally and has engaged in a hate campaign against my players. I am still trying to solve this in a professional manner, but part of me (the defenseman side) says to just beat his face in.
Good luck though. Whatever you do, do not retaliate in any physical or threatening manner that could in any way set you and your fellow players back. Be gentlemen and leave them no room to say "Well he did {this} and he did {that}"

We only have 40 kids total on our team, and generally even the baseball kids understand that their sport is just alot of standing around. So, other than the fact our bigger players could handle the whole baseball program as a small group, the baseball kids have no real problem with us, seperate lockers in seperate parts of the locker room.

The main problem in my school is the crew kids. I swear I think they are going to try to over throw the school with an army of homosexual rowers. No, I mean it, those guys are just too close to eachother. I am sure that when we get a team next year, they will probably give us alot of crap. As for the baseball players, I believe many of them intend on switching to lacrosse as a tansition for football when we get it, so they are cool. My policy for any such crap that you are talking about is "speak softly and carry a big stick" Basically, I am cool with you until you are a dick to me. I find that one to work the best, because it always keeps them guessing whether you are crazy, or just quiet.

Ha! Gay-Ray, jimmy im not sure if we can take their varsity team lol. Unless you bust out the throwing stars and make a mad-fishbowl. But the gym teacher/baseball coach is a total tool, I say we burn down his house....

The worst feeling by far is when your team is good, but your schools girls team is best in state. That happened a couple years ago at my old school... Girls Lax in NC isn't very competative but our school put together a very athletic team that won the state championship last year 17-3. All the power to them, but our team who went like 12-6 andwho was in a very competative guys league got no respect from anyone...

o and as for the baseball thing u can just get the biggest kids and have them beat the crap outta the baseball team... but that might have a bad consequence

Here's my 2 cents:
Baseball kids can keep running their mouths because once they are done being their sweet Varsity High School baseball players, most likely they aren't going to play in college or pro ball or ever again.
Lacrosse is great because there are so many club teams and different groups where you can just go play. You can play if your crappy or you can play if you were an All-American, but in baseball it just comes down to them remembering the days of how they were great baseball players in high school. I'll always remember how great of a time I had playing until I was 60.

I know how you feel its the same at my school. The girls team took state 2 years in a row and they look like there going to take it again this year.

It's the exact opposite in our school. Many kids try out for baseball to see if they make it and if they dont, they play lacrosse since we don't have tryouts. The baseball coaches took this into condieration, and started accepting ANYONE that tried out for the team. I know for a fact that they do not need a 27 man roster.
It's all politics.

As of right now, Our JV and Varsity have about 20 kids. Each. No biggie, it's probably going to be the only time you hear people *****ing about playing time. A few kids quit playing because of baseball. Pansies. Then some kids who don't make the team are going to come play with us. So yeah.

everyones gotta relax... im not saying i hate beaseball players, but i dont really find baseball that exciting. we all have to get along. even if that means trying out baseball, or them trying out lacrosse. eventually, its gunnna get out of hand and friends will turn against friends who play the opposite sport. You need skill to play baseball. You need skill to play lacrosse. Whatever the problem is, you need to act professionaly about it, and not act childish by saying stuff like "baseball sucks" "its for sissys" and stuff like that. They probably think the same about lacrosse, and that it sucks or is for sissys. You need guts to stand in front of 100mph pitches. You need guts to stand in front of 100mph shots. No matter what, there will always be people who will hate lacrosse and people who hate baseball, so we may as well forget about destroying baseball or "burning down a gym teachers house" you should treat the baseball players with respect, and dont diss their sport. Eventually after they see lax players showing them respect, they will stop putting down lacrosse and may even try it out and like it more than baseball.
thats my opinion on it anyways

the baseball coach at our school is the athletic director and he tried to make lacrosse not a cif sport(pretty much a real high-school sport for california and not be considered a club team) are field is right by baseball's and we always throw balls over on accident and they always keep them and throw them to the infield so on time while they were practicing my friend bombed on way infield and almost hit the pitcher

Cool. If I were you, I wouldn't mess with the baseball kids. You're lucky enough that your school sponsors the sport. Try to not piss off the coaches and what not. Right now we're lucky enough to be able to use the middle school gym for practices.

I agree 100% with your reply, but I would add another item to take care of this dope of a teacher. 1. First create a paper trail, documenting time, place of each transgression. 2. Send this letter to the school Supt. and not the prinicpal. 3. Send a additional copy to the NYS Board of Education, c/o NYS School Supt. There is a ethics panel that investigates any issue that is warranted. This one is! 4. Don't tell this coach nothing and let the school district and the school board, that there are 100's of attorneys that have nothing better to do than sue a school district...

baseball isnt a problem really rarely do we share the field.. my school as more of a problem with the track and field kids. they do pole vaulting right behind the net so balls are always flying at them. One track kid took one of the balls that was by them and threw it on the train tracks behind the field. Our coach got in an argument with the kid and his coach. Then him and his friends came in our locker room and poured gatorade everywhere so some of the kids on my team went in their lockeroom and tore down the posters

We have no problems with the baseball kids. Theres no baseball field at our school so they have to walk to the closest one. We only have problems with soccer kids. Theres only one field and it has a soccer net on it. We always have to move to another area to play. We have a large enough area so its alright.

nicely said. you need to give respect to get respect. this year the coach made it a rule that the varsity lax team has to go to at least one other varsity sport game a week. i think thats a pretty good idea, because once we do that, they will be more likely to go to our games.

I guess every lacrosse team (unless ur like state champ or something ) has problems with other teams..
last year (our first year) the whole school went into like anti-lax.. so you know who came out? the kids with attitudes who didn't listen to their coaches from the other teams and kids who have never played any sport b4.. great combo!!
and this year we compete with track.. effin TRACK!! there should be no competition at all with track... hmm lets see do I want to run for miles w/o end in the heat of florida.. or play an awesome sport like lax where i can still run and own some people... we lost like 3 or 4 quality atheltes who showed great potential to effin TRACK! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?
as for baseball.. we dont even bother eachother.. like i dont even know the coach or the players..
as for fields we play on soccer's field.. which they dont like.. and god forbid if we played on the football field
