Best Goalie in College?

Girls who do you think the best goalie in the college womens game is? It can be D1 D2 or D3.

I think it is Devon Wills of Dartmouth. Her numbers last year where not the best, but her style of play is phenomenal and she is technically sound when making saves. I love watching her play, and how can you beat a 50 yard clear.

agreed about Devon Wills-i think her whole story is very interesting as well -Kristin Hordy (UNC) is also very good!

also i think Ashley Gersuk (Northwestern '05) was incredibly powerful last year! not to mention talented(sorry i wasn't sure if we were talking current or past--)

Alex Kahoe was awesome at Maryland. That's a past one, so I'm not sure if you were looking for that.

Georgetowns goalie is pretty good too. I don't know her name, or much about her, but when I watched the Princeton-Georgetown game, their goalie really stood out.

I am a fan of uva and a ginger miles but northwesterns goalie morgan lathrop she is a freshman and she is starting and they are #1 in the country

Thats not really surprising if you look at what she did in high school. From her stats she seems amazing and deserves to play. The sophmore goalie didn't do much in high school and didn't do much last year eaither. We will have to weight and see

I agree. I was looking at her numbers so far this season and she has not been as impressive as I know she can be, but I take into account that there number one defender graduated leaving a big hole. I think with time they will fill that hole and provide her some more protection.

To be honest, I'm not sure. As far as I know I don't think there is one goalie in particular who is ahead of the pack by a long shot. As in the past, there have been those who stood out, but I haven't really heard anything about anyone doing so this season.

The second goalie right now at Hopkins who is a freshman is good. While she did not get anywhere near as much playing time as the senior, whenever she has gotten in she has made multiple saves, and is definitely enthusiastic. she will be one to watch next year, as she will be Hopkins starting goalie!!

i went to a brown-cornell game and was blown away by the cornell goalie...she seemed really explosive and agressive and made some impressive saves. i'm not sure how she'd do against a northwestern or duke, but that one game she was amazing

i went to the NCAA championships and both Wills and Lathrop were amazing. I have also been hit in the by Wills in the arm at a clinic and in the leg by Lathrop(i cherish the bruises)
