How did they get shafted?
They played poorly, and the biggest part of the loss Mike Accursi scoring about 7 goals.

Toronto is 1-3 in their last four. Their one win against Buffalo could have gone either way, their game against Calgary was one of the worst showings in franchise history and their loss last night to Minnesota was one of the biggest choking fits over the past few years. Right now, they'll be lucky to make the playoffs let alone win the championship. In fact, they are playing worse lacrosse now then they were when they started 0-4.
As of right now, anyone that doesn't say Buffalo is the strongest team in the NLL, is just being a homer.

Toronto's gone south in a hurry, so has Rochester.
Rochester has lost their last four, including a shaming at Buffalo's hands and a 7 goal outing against Philadelphia. !SEVEN! A team with Grant held to seven. Most games he alone is good for 6 to 7 points.
Toronto has lost three of their last four. Two of the losses were absolutely shameful. IMO, blowing two five goal leads against Philadelphia is equal to or worse than the choke against Minesota. Blowing those two winnable games probably cost the Rock a home playoff game, and may even end up costing them a playoff appearance.
Unless Buffalo chokes in the playoffs, they win the East this year. Bit of a slow start, but looking unstoppable now.

I'm a Rock fan, but it wouldnt hurt the game if a newer American team won the Cup. Cuz we all know Americans don't like anything if they aren't good at it. It would help the league's exposure. Toronto's had their glory and will have much more in the years to come.

A new American Team..... That leaves you Portland with their solid D and being led by Morgan, Merril, Sharp, Hominuck, Elliuk :worship: , and etc. The west isso close that they may have a chance at making the championship. But what would be better for the game Is to have them playing either Philly or Minnesota in the finals. 2 compertetors in 2 big American Cities. It would do wonders for the NLL.

Is the championship even on live TV in the US? (Like on something better than ESPN 8, (THE OCHO!)?)
If there's no live TV, it doesn't really matter who plays......only a few tens of thousands of fans will even know who the finalists were and what the score was.

k-hawks. . 5 of 7 losses came to 1 goal games, 2 going to o.t. . a couple bad bounces in each game. . i think the next few games end with rochester having some home floor in the playoffs.

but does losing 1 goal games make them a strong team??
I would think pulling off 1 goal victories would make a team strong..

Agreed. It's the teams that have shown they can pull out the close ones that usually do well in the playoffs. With playoff games always coming down to a goal or two, I would want to have the confidence knowing that me and the boys had shown we can do it. It'll be Rochester who will be thinking, "here we go again," and have that doubt in their heads down the stretch.

Actually purely numerically speaking...
Philly is #1, then Buffalo, Rochester, and then Toronto...
Roch has lost their last 4...Toronto has lost last 3 of 4...
Statistically all of these teams are real close and the main difference between #s 1&2 and #s 3&4 is the top 2 only have 4 division losses while the other 2 have 5 division losses each...
Calgary seems to be peaking at the right time again. As usual its a shady start but hopefully can come through in the playoffs. Ratcliff & Kelusky are really on a great roll here.
