a lose ball push is when a player on one team pushes another player when the ball is lose on the ground (neither team has posession) it results in the team that was pushed being awarded the ball. push with posession is 30 seconds in the box.

if you go to http://www.ncaa.org/library/rules.html you can download a pdf of the rules of lacrosse.

Better be more specific.

A looseball push is a push FROM BEHIND while the ball is lose. You can never hit a player in the back.

yeah you gotta add the push from behind...its a basic rule ...refs in high school are idiots and call it often ..breaks up the game a lot..but it does indeed happen a lot..

Loose ball push is a guaranteed call if the ball is on the ground too long and there are a bunch of players fighting for it. It is a way to move the game along. It also helps if you do alittle acting when in the middle of the ruck. If you fall over you will probably be awarded posession.

If there's a loose ball push, the ref should call a "play on" for a few seconds to see if the team that was pushed can get the ball. If not, the ref should blow the whistle, call "play on over," and give it to the offended team.

We had a ref who thought it was from the front. This really messed up our team and my coach was flipping out

Better be even more specific: if the push occurs more than 5 yards from a loose ball, it is illegal even if it is from the front or side.

In addition, the push is illegal unless both hands are on the crosse.
