I just put the leftover dye in a cup and use for dying strings

you can reuse the dye, but you should always add some new pigment to it, also make sure you really stir it up before you move it out of whatever you store it in. that will get the pigment that has settled back into suspension

Black dye jus tlooks purple. ALso, when you dye. You need to leave it in the black for a long time, or else you will get purple.

dye is reusable, but u may want to add a little more and be sure you heat it up.

also you have to use a ridiculously high concentration of black to get real black.

I did the head with a high concentration and the mesh w/ the leftovers. Idn if it was just the material acting dif. but the mesh def. isnt as dark.

for dyeing black which is better a bottle of black liquid dye or the packet of black dye....i did a head black the other day and there is some hints of purple (looks nice) but the black isn't black like the head above ^^^^ ? i used a whole bottle of black liquid dye ....should i stay away from the liquid dye?

I try to use liquid when possible, and when dyeing black I take the extra precautions and use 2 bottles or 3 packets.
