Hey guys I'm a 10th grade goalie at my school. This is my first time playing the sport and after stringing my stick with trad. mesh i decided to buy some jimalax 10d mesh. Now i see most of the 10d sticks are strung with open sidewalls but i think i prefer closed would that change anything? Does anyone think it will still be a pritty nice stick with closed sidewalls?? Whats the difference between open and closed as far as proformance goes??? Thx guys

Ive only seen one 10D with open, and Outburst said it was insanely whippy. Stick with closed for 10-14D mesh.

You deffinatally(sp) dont need to use open sidewalls for 10D. You can still get a massive pocket with closed sidewalls.....

Closed. With closed sidewalls strung well, you can still get a massive and very channeled pocket.

i use close sidewalls no matter what mesh i string with you can still get a bag but i dont like to play with a bag. i have seen goalies with a bag and closed sidewalls. http://www.lax.com/bimages/1083/8 < closed side walls front view http://www.lax.com/bimages/1083/17 < side view http://www.lax.com/bimages/1083/3 < another side view not as good

Just imagine that with open sidewall
Bigger diamond with open sidewall forms a pocket thats simply too big.
