quick question

k i'm sure some will think this is a stupid question but i'm not sure about it.

on www.jimalax.com is there a difference between the crosslace (spool) and the sidewall (spool) or could i just use the sidewall for the topstring.

no. use sidewall just for sidewall. crosslace is for traditional stringing, and toplace/ shooting lace is for the shooting strings and toplace

You can use crosslace for everything and some people do because you can get the sidewalls and topsting much tighter. The only problem is that crosslace wears out very quickly.

true...but you don't have to use those types of strings for those things only you can use side wall for everything or crosslace, its just crosslace wears out the fastest because it is the thinest and toplace is thick for taking the abuse of the scooping....

pretty much im getting...a couple meshes...a bunch of laces...top string, and then sidewall strings...is that all i would need to string a basic mesh pocket?

do you plan on stringing custom sticks or trads? if not then no need really for crosslace and if you don't play on stringing a boat load of sticks the theres no need for top lace because you can spend the time to replace your topstring every now and then so you only really need sidewall...it gets the job done all around but if you string alot of sticks then its sometimes better to have all 3

ooo no im just gonna string and mess around with my old stick, so yeah ig uess theres no need for the stuff to be durable because i wont put it thru constant use...and no im onyl gonna string sticks when im bored...and no trad or custom yet lol...so thanx alot i guess ill just go with side wall
