ok so recently someone on here posted a how-to on fixing broken heads by soldering. now i got to thinking, if you can do this for a sidewall, why not a whole head? if you can find something that matches up well enough you could possibly have an evo pro with a PP throat and torque scoop. would this be possible at all? i know that if it is it wouldnt be very durable but for a messing around stick it sounds like it would be really cool. like if you snapped a head and then grabbed a buddies broken head you would be able to make a whole new stick.

i dont have access to any of the stuff to do this but it sounds like it could work if you found heads that matched up well enough.

i suppose you could do it, but it would be weak like you said. It would be kinda cool.... anyway, i think matching them up would be a problem, but even if they dont match up exactly right, you could probably use pinching techniques to make it fit. If anybody does it, could they post pics?

yeah i wouldnt it would be able to be used in a game but just using it in your yard or something would be pretty cool. i wish i could use a soldering iron but my school has no tech or shop program at all so im stumped.

WalMart. Best source of cheap Chinese tools anywhere.

it wouldnt be very durable....

Try a fiberglas repair kit to wrap around the joints. This probably makes it illegal for a live game, but it'll make it tough enough for rainy-day practices

I think it wont work , but try it anyway I could be wrong. but tom me it seems that the pieces would be different sized and wont fit

if you have pockets deep enough to mutilate a pp an evo and a torque then by all means go ahead , but post pics :dummy:

Don't think he's going to wreck heads to try this out. I think he's going to wait until he can collect a few already broken heads.

maybe if you score real deep and mold the plastic real well it wont be weak.

maybe you could attach throat of pp to somthing stronger like bionic. im not saying use bionic im just giving an example of a sturdy head. the pinch would change radically if you did that tho :agree:

haha thanks for all your suggestions. no im not going to take apart a PP, evo pro and torque. im gonna see whatever broken heads i can find and try to find a couple that fit together.

james- yeah im sure some heads wont fit together at all but there may be heads that could fit together. for example my friend has a cyber with a few parts of the sidewall cut out so i know i could fit that to almost anything.

Rockstar- the fiberglass kits sound like a great idea. when i can get a soldering iron and some broken heads i'll definately try this out.

it would cost like 300 bucks to get all the parts of the new heads together

did you read what i wrote? im not buying anything to do this. if somebody on my team has a broken head w/ no waranty i'll use that. it can be anything im not gonna buy 2 or 3 new heads so that i can annihilate them

Sounds like a good idea. And maybe you should try to find out how companies are able to put parts of sticks together and keep it durable.

or create this "Dream" head with the ideal components for you, and send it in to one of the major companies and see if they'll produce it. Like if you prefer the torques's scoop, evo pro pinch and pp throat, then put it together.

im gonna see if i can find any articles on making lax heads so i can see how theyre put together. if i cant i'll go with the soldering iron/fiberglass kit way. i know that there has to be a way to put these together its just a matter of finding it
