View Full Version : Wide Torque
I Am Legend

I was looking at one of the jv attackmens new torque the other day and noticed that it had almost no pinched at all. It was extremely wide for a torque and after comparing it with two other torques i noticed a couple of things....
1. A normal 1st or 2nd gen torque could basically fit "inside" of this one.
2. The color was a pale white, compared to the other two torques which both had a glossy pearl color to them. Not this one.
3. And finally the scoop was shaped much different than the other two torque's.
Has anyone else seen this kind of torque?

Are you sure its a Torque. What makes it similar to a Torque? Sidewall design?

most likely it wasn't a torque. Maybe it had some similaraties, but that doesn't make it the same. Go look at gaits other heads on their website, maybe you'll find an answer.

ive had 2 torques
my first one had a nice pinch on it to begin with, and then got even tighter from the natural bending during faceoffs.
my second torque was significanly wider though, and also had a different offset. It was more canted like STX sticks than a normal torque. I simply put it on a shaft and then put it face-down and bent it. This made the sidewalls flare but still stay legal at the top. It is now my game stick.

So what makes you think this head is a Torque? Explain.

It is true that the new torques are significantly wider than the originals and that the offset is slightly different. So like I am legend was saying the torques are infact different.

Well, your saying it is very different then a Torque. So tell me what exactly makes it a Torque.

It could be one of those old Quarks or a Diesel as stated by Gigo

it has a gait sticker on the scoop still.....it has a gait ball stop.....i own a torque, half my teamates use torques...half the people on other teams in my area use torques....its most def. a torque

I think it is established that I Am Legend knows what a Torque is. Stop trying to find out what other head it is. It is a torque.
And the Quark doesn't have as many stringing holes as a Torque does.

I'm just trying to figure out what identifies it as a Torque. The pinch is different, its a different size, the scoop is different, and its a different plastic. So what is similar to a Torque, the sidewalls, the offset, what?

bro if it is that wide i think either A a diesel or old head or B maybe he widend it my friend widened a finalizer (he is retarted the thing broke after that)

it wouldnt be a diesel cause arent they shorter then most heads? and im pretty sure he knows what a torque is since he has 2 of them

its a torque...it looks like a torque....because it is a torque. The design is that of a torque, you know why?....because it is a freaking torque!!

I Am Legend, you ask people if the have seen a torque like this. They said no, don't ask for opinions when you don't want them.

You are not being helpful. First you say its different than a Torque in about five big ways, and now you justify that it is a Torque only by repeating "It's a Torque!!!" in 10 posts.
EDIT:In response to your above post: My friend has a Toyota Rav4. But its weird. It has a convertible top, is low to the ground, and only seats two people. Have you ever seen a Rav4 like this?

I am Legend is right in saying that the new torques are different. I work in a lax shop and have seen that the new shipment of torques are different from the originals. While the differences are not extreme they can be seen by the eyes of someone who is familiar with equipment.

Guys, it would be pretty hard to think that a
Diesel
http://www.gblax.com/images/products/thumb/Diesel.jpg
looks anything like a
Torque
http://www.battlelax.com/files/CPL00000/987.jpg
considering the Diesel HAS NO OFFSET

Heads can change with new generations.
The only head I remember changing drastically between generations are:
-Brine Matrix
-G-Force (Gait?)
Maybe the Torque just changed more dramatically between generations.

BT STX makes the G-force and even tho the looks are different maybe "the torque" is a chaos

theres this kid on my team who, when we are at practice and listening to coach, turns his stick over and puts all his weight on his head, this has produced a warped an extremly unpinched head, not to mention the scoop is now different, this could most likely be the problem.

ya i agree with you thats probably it and the new tourques are different ive never owned one but played wiht it and there all white and you can notice the pinch has changed significantly (wider) so if he did that to a new tourque it would probably produce this effect

Right now I play with a 1st gen. torque (I got it like, a month after it came out) if I buy torque now it will be different? Will it make a big change? Im absolutetly in LOVE with the torque im using now. (Head ive kept and played with the longest)
