Im looking into buying a new helmet but have a few questions about a few different ones.

At the moment i have the Pro Z XL and it fits me great, i had the Gait field but it seemed a little tight.

I have been able to try on the Brine lid at local store and found that to be too small also. It was a L/XL.

The helmet im looking at getting is the CPX but i want to know if its gonna fit as big as the Stryke or more like the Brine. I have a big head and dont want to pay all that money on a custom lid to find it too small and no they dont have any CPXs at any store's around here that sell lax gear.

Im assuming that the Viking is sized the same as the Pro Z ??

Hope someone can help me out.

Cheers

get a ridell revolution, they are great for folks with big noggins. ColtsLax will attest to this fact. Read his review, its good.

if your head is big get an XL revolution. you could always add/take out air to make it fit better

I have read about how big those riddel lids are but they look awful, im intrested in the CPX or the Viking only.

The CPX can fit really anyones head...But if you buy a CPX just go straight for a titanium one, theres no point to get a Chrome or Black face mask

thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard, "theres not point to get a chrome or black facemask" not everyone has mommy and daddy buying their equipment like you do kid. the black facemask is fine, if it protects your face from getting hit with the ball a face mask is a face mask since all facemasks have to have specific specs in lacrosse.

anyways the CPX is a one size fits all, they have liners that you can swap in and out in the back of the helmet and if the liner for the biggest fit is too tight, you can have no liner at all you should be fine.

There is a kid on my team who used to have to get custom helmets because his head is so big, but once he bought a CPX and took out all of the custom fitting pads it fit him.

the cpx without any pad fits a large head. i use it that way.

ive had a problem with the cpx because the small is too small and the medium is to big with out any pads its pretty big so it should fit you but you should try it on first

I wear viking-titanium size xl(fits same as stryke pro xl) and I have tried cpx without the pads, and it fitted fine, it was also lighter than my viking. If someone got a cpx i would trade my viking for it.

This kid on my team had a custom made c-pro made for him as the xl didn't fit him. It's pretty cool. It looks as if they cut two shells and put them together.. idk how to explain it but yeah it's pretty neat.

On another note, i disagree with TitanVision's comment on the facemask color. If you have the money for a Ti mask, then by all means dish out your money. But if you are limited to only a black or chrome mask, there really is no difference.
