You know this probably belongs in the coaching forum but from my limited experience it seems that's just grass runners in there.
What types of drills do you guys like to run in practice?
It's my job as a coach to make things fun for you so I want to hear any outstanding drills that your coach did for you. I also want to set my eyes upon any neat ideas that you have that would make for a good drill. We're talking Bantam to Midget level rep players so we can get complicated here.
This is your chance to tell a coach how to make practices more fun than they already are

shootouts are fun , let them do creative like trick shots , or yell out shots that they have to try ... like bounce to top right , or under hand or w.e you can come up with then if they score they go to the right and if they misss they go to the left .... misses have to do pushups, sing or soemthing else embarassing/funny.... if the last person in the line scores he or she lets everybody on the miss side free , if he or she misses then he has to join the miss side ... its simple but fun ... try it .... and also do a quicktick contest , get two or more teams of atleast 4 or 5 kids, make them stand in a zigzag line and get them to quicktick pass starting at the top to the end ... there and back is one .... go up to like 10 or something .... losing team does pushups ..also simple but fun and great for practicing quick passes ...which are good for games

One drill for you: War on the Floor.
Set up the nets cross floor in one end, with the nets touching the boards.Have the players in the drill start at the blue line, then rush in. NO crease, play two v one, three v two, three v three full contact with a time limit. It's nuts.

except add a crease, its annoying for a goaluie to have guys right ontop of you, and also encourage the goalie to steep out and handle the ball more.

Do Henhawks, breakaway, bounce the ball of the glass or boards on the run, catch it and shoot. Works stick skills, and is fun.

nations drill. . two lines of players at centre one of rights/ one of lefts.
goalie in each net, and one player in each end.
one righty and a lefty come in on a 2 on 1.
when the 2 offensive players cross the restraining line, the player with the opposite shooting hand of the man on defense chases after the play for a 2 on 2.
then the player who shot the ball stays on defence and the man who didnt shoot goes to the back of his line.
the two defensive players now switch onto offence. they run up, once the cross the restraining line. . the player with the opposite shooting hand of the man on defence comes into the play as the chaser
repeat til the chaser starts getting real lazy.
fun drill that gets the players working on their transition game.

I don't know if this is really considered a drill, but...when you line up a couple feet away from the board, and then one person at a time runs inbetween the line of players and the boards (carrying a bal) and everyone gets to nail them as they run through, I love that!
