I Have heard from 3 different people (coach, Head of district, proboss employee) that the traditional wooden goalie sticks are illeagle for box once you hit the intermediat age is this true? what is the ruling?

no its not true, stone wall uses them, so do alot of jr.A tenders

Illegal in the NLL. Legal anywhere else unless the league has a ruling.

Oh snap. Sorry I meant league. Check a rule book for your league and see if they have any special rule changes for Intermediate and Junior

No its not illegal in most places but your organization may have a rule against it,,,,,But those tradiitional woodens are so hard to catch and cradel with anyway....but i guess its all preference
