So how was the east decided? 3 teams are 8-8, Toronto, Philadelphia and Minnesota. If you look at the standings onn NLL.com, Philadelphia is above Minnesota but Minnesota clinched. Philadelphia has the better home record and GF:GA. So how was it decided? Was it just who won against who when they met in the season?

Minnesota and Toronto have the head-to-head tie breaker, as both teams are 2-1 versus the Wings. Philadelphia owned the head-to-head tie breaker against Buffalo and Rochester, but neither of those teams are 8-8.

Thus, Philly is out (as they are not tied with any team, they own tie breakers against) and Minny and TO are in, as they own the tie breaker against the other 8-8 team (philly).
