well i have a box tryout tomorrow, and there is only 1 midget team. i am one of the smallest players there, and i am starting to worry that i wont make the team. i have made it all the past years, but have failed to grow, and many of my friends did. all my friends will make the team for sure, but im worried that ill give it my best and not make it. i will have to play houseleague box this year if that happens. I will be kind of ashamed to play houseleague, (no offence to those who do) because i jhave talent, but not size.

now my question

should i be ashamed to be play houseleague?? can i use that as a confidence gainer? i am worried that if i play houseleague, will have an even worse chance of making box rep next year, because the skill level is pretty low in houseleague and when box comes around i wont be prepared for the skill level there because i would be playing houseleague

work the hardest at tryouts. hit every ground ball you can. Even thouigh your small i bet your pretty strong on all of your body checks get low and lift up. Embarass the heck out of the bigger kids. When a coach needs a volunteer be that volunteer show him that u want to be on the team and that you are a leader. Lastly when the coach blows the whistle be the first one there. Show him that you have the heart to play on that team.

exactly what you need to do. You need to work hard because of your size but you can still embarass the "superstars" with your own skill :chuckle:

You have to think that youll make the rep team. You have to be positive that you can play with those kids. Personally, Ive never played house league so i wouldn't know, but you should really try to get on the team
