MLL has announced that the championship weekend will be held at Home Depot Center, but I don't believe they've announced which venue at the HDC they will play in. You see, there are two field stadiums in the HDC, there is the 2,000 seater bleachers with unlimited temporary seating with a track around it, which is where the Riptide will play. Then there is the main 27,000 seater stadium that has modern amenities and canopy seating.

I know that MLL will be lucky to get 5 figures for the championship but I believe that if it's gonna be held at Home Depot Center, it MUST be held at the main stadium. I think seeing the championship game on ESPN2 in a place with bleachers and track around the field is gonna look real bush league. The league can move all the people onto the camera side on the main stadium and also show the league playing in a professional four-sided stadium.

Here are pictures of the main stadium, and then the track stadium

I agree, people not informed about lacrosse who may tune in will not be impressed to see a high school sized stadium.

Im so lucky. 2 months ago i moved to california and im still playing out here. once i moved out here i found out that the championship was going to be at the HDC. They probally will play it in the stadium because ESPN will be brodcasting it. It will help the sport grow.

Some ominous signs, the MLL Championship takes place August 25 and 27. There is a soccer game at the main stadium on Aug 26. I don't think that the HDC staff will want to prepare the grass three days in a row, unless MLL pays a lot of money.

think about it though. if they play on the track field, that will be an extra 20 yards(give or take, i suck at guessing) between the field and the bleachers.

So, are you saying this is a good thing or a bad thing?
