Guys, I hate to tell you this, but being 100% serious online petitions mean pretty much nothing. They dont mean nearly as much as an actual hand signed one would, and even those dont really carry as much weight as you would think.

At least it's on the actual CSTV site. If it was one of those generic online petitions like the one that people on TLF signed to try to get a lax video game, I wouldn't have even bothered.

this petition is just being shown to cable companies to prove that there is a serious interest in this network. Its not really going against another action like most other petitions, its just being used to try convince cable companies that they should help cstv expand. Checking a box saying that," I would like cstv to be shown more commonly." would mean exactly the same thing. Sorry if i didnt explain this well but i was just pointing out that it doesnt really have to mean a lot, just that the number of people on it lets companies know that they could be successful marketing this.

i dont understand, i was watching cstv and it is all college sports...like r they gonna make cstv2 or provide it for regular cabel, honestly i like espnu more....navy vs army is on now, and later cuse at rutgers and umd vs hopkins, 3 lax games in 1 day, theyre dedicated

I agree with your points. But If you take into account guests (even though some are members who didn't log in) I think you'd be surprised how many would sign it. Also guests usually become members if they desire to post (this is rarer than guest who simply view the forums). This potential stickie doesn't even require that they become members. And since guests usually check out the General Men's Field Forum they'll probably see the stickie and say what the heck why not. Plus if cstv sees that their largest viewers or contributors are lacrosse members they will probably give us more lacrosse in return.

But still I agree 10,000 is an unrealistic number.

I'm # 103,575! I hope this will work and get on Cable. My dad tried to get ESPNU or CSTV so we could watch all the college games they would have, but cable doesnt have those channels! Why would they not show college sports? I live in a rich-ish area with plenty of well educated, college grads from recent or past college classes. Do they think no one cares about their college sports? COME ON! GET SERIOUS!
