why hello RP, long time no see

been about 2 years since I've done it, but alas, I present you with an illusionistic rock-it pocket.

not a big fan of the right side of the dye, but whatever. Still looks cool, just didn't fade asw well as I hoped. The glue didnt stick.

throws pretty well. Haven't messed around with it much because I don't have a wall or anything. When the kid who I strung it for gets it, he can adjust the shooting strings or what not. Not a lot of whip, and a smooth release. WHat more can you ask for?

That does look really nice, the dye looks great to me and goes really nicely with the pocket. I must say, that is probably one of the nicest rock it pockets I have seen someone string. Good job.

Nice, I'm really feelin' the simplicity, yet the "dopeness" of that dye haha. Looks like its fading at the scoop though. I really like you uses thin glue strokes, I've actually never seen that done on the whole head before, did you just let the glue hang fron the gun until it was thin?
And I'm not a big fan of rock-it pockets so I won't comment on it because I'm biased. But it looks good.

How do you keep the channel so tight. when I tried, it was tight around the ball when I was stringing, but when I was done, it loostened up. Is there a trick, or does it just take practice?

i dont put a ball in the pocket when I'm stringing, I just find the depth I want the channel to be, string the channel and keep pulling it outwards to make sure it's tight, then I string the sides. Normall the channel is stiff enough that it will stay how I want it to be. Do both of the sides at the same time. Do one twist on one side, then do the twist for the same row on the other side. Then repeat. This helps to keep it symmetrical, and allows you to choose where you want the pocket to be, because you can make it tight/loose where you want.

I'm not sure if this is an imperfection, but on the outside channels (the white ones) there is only one crossover. On real ones, there are more twists.

yeah, i did that on purpose. I don't like too many twists. Last time I strung one, i used more twists, and it didnt work as well.

That is an excellent job. As for imperfections, is yours missing a twist in each of the outer leathers? Also, I think all of the "Factory" RP's I've ever seen on their website have ten knots in the channel before the saddle. I counted twelve on yours. I don't mean to split hairs, just an observation. I think I prefer your channel. Again an absolutely outstanding job.
