Rocket Pocket

Not a RP, but kinda similar. It's just a custom pocket strung in a Brine Rocket. I cut out the brine logo in the sidewalls. I did a bad job though. And it's pinched.

The two coils on the sides up top are just for looks and to tighten up the strings, and the middle coil is so the ball doesn't hit the lip(like in a RP).

There aren't any shooters in it because it didn't need any. I was surprised that it throws so perfectly without any shooters. I still have to pound it out a bit, and I may redo it because the leathers are a bit crooked.

BTW, I need a name for this piece.

looks pretty good. hows it throw? good idea. it looks a bit uneven , but that just might be the pic. i did somthing like it, but with a pita pocket center chanel, and one more loop thing outside the two leathers.

It is a bit uneven, but that's what you get when you wake up Easter morning and string a stick. But it throws amazing. I didn't even need to put any shooters in it.

Took less than an hour. Just reminds me of a RP. The center track is similar, just zigzags back and forth, but mine is more narrow and uses normal trad knots. The outer crosslace also reminds me of an RP, but there are no other leathers and it doesn't twist. It also has the coil up top.

i agree. the rocket-powered turtle is a good name. but anywho, that looks like a really cool pocket. especially w/o shooters. nice work

Yeah, that looks pretty cool. It looks like a pita/rock-it/big word pocket combination. I esspecially like the channel area for some reason.

I wasn't even going for a pita, but it jumped in there too. It was throwing great without any shooters, but now that it's broken in a bit its hitting a lot of lip and has a ton of whip when shooting sidearm with it. So I think I'm gonna put in some shooters in a bit. I just got a spool of shooters for jimalax.

Looks nice, but I dont see how it is at all like a pita, even though many people have said it.
