Score at goal or dish out an assist?
For me personally, I'd rather dish out assits. I don't know why, I am a good shooter but I would just rather assist...
How about you guys?

I love the glory of scoring. That's one reason I love to play attack.

Ya i gotta say i like getting the goal instead of assisting, but i know when to dish it off and it still feels good to get assists.

You'd get more reconigition(sp?) for scoreing, but if can't score assists are good too.

I like assists more. It takes more skill to find the open man and get off agood pass than too just shoot it.
Depends what kind of goalie/defense you are playing against. I prefer what wins the game, whether it be an assist or a goal.

I personally would like to score more than I would like to get an assist, but I play D.

Scoring gives you a great feeling inside, but how could you score if you didnt get a great pass from an assistmen (unless its unassist, which is rare in a good offense, except for fast breaks) Overall, I rather score, although att he end of the seaosn, I always wind up with more assist than goals

Scoring is the best feeling in the world, but if I couldn't shoot and could assist, that would feel almost as good.

I'm definitely leaning more toward assist but they get pretty much no recognition, especially at the high school level.

Assists are cool becuase you know that you're part of an awesome team, but goals are just too darn fun.

Well right now im liking assists alot better than goals, because im actually on pace for the single season assist record. I ussually like the assist better anyways, because it means you can share the ball.

Assist. I'm a defenseman, but actually had more goals than assists, but I still like assists more.

for me it all depends. i would take the really nice shot/goal over the really nice assist anyday. i play defense so i guess i would rather dodge like 5 guys and score than dodge 5 guys and get an assist

i'd like to score again (did it once as a goalie and like 3-5 times as a middie) but assists are cool too, i've got 4 of those as a goalie....nothing like throwing a bomb that is dead on to an attackman and watching them score

Depends on how slick the pass was. If it's like through a whole jungle of poles and lands perfectly in the dude's stick, then I'd rather have that.

If you shoot for a goal and miss you suck. If you pass and that guy misses he sucks.

Even though they should, no one ever pays attention to the person who assited the goal. It's just the guy who actually put the ball in the net. I like the attention.

Anyone can catch a ball a foot from the goal and put it in. Ussually the guy who gets the assist does more work because they are creating the offense, making things happen. I would rather walk away from a game with 2G and 4A then 4G and 2A.

Im gonna be honest...playing LSM...Id rather nail a goal than assist...
Sure I want to help the team, and as a LSM i shouldnt be shooting a hell of alot, i should be bringing it down and passing it off...
but really...seeing a pole score is SOOOO much more exciting than watching them assist...

They both offer various forms of satisfaction. . .
Yeah slamming the ball through the net is great, but threading the ball through 3 long sticks to get the quick stick to the open man feels great too.
Either one it doesn't matter.

Yeah. I defintly like scoring more. i mean i like assisting, but most of the time i have to go check how many assists i have after the game is over. with a goal, you remember how many times the goalie stepped to only watch the ball whizz past him into the goal. nothing like watching the ball hit the net. great feeling.

Pshh i could care less. If its helping my team out, than i dont care which it is. I would always prefer a nice goal though, but an assist is just as good.

i like them both, but that cross field studly assist is an awesome feeling. Some coaches prefer passers over scorers

if you look at the JHU semi finals last year when Benson Erwin scored the game winning goal, look who the rest of the team ran to; the goal scorer, not the guy dishing out the assist..

i like both. id love to feed a beautiful pass to someone through longpoles, but i also dream of scoring a winning goal with time running out
