So my phone got stolen, I need a new one. I was am Currently planning on buying a SLVR and am i wondering for those you have it think about it?

Some of my questions are:

Has It Broken? Does the screen scratch easily?
Are the iTunes that great?(i've heard it is really slow) How is the Music Quality? Overall is a good phone? And now knowing what its like would you still get one?

Any other phone recomendations are welcome just give me a little info on the phone.

Thanks

I reccomend the Rocker, fairly durable, good sound quality, and the Itunes is just like an Ipod.

I like my combo: RAZR + 40gig iPod. :p

I'm not a huge fan of the all in one phone, and the RAZR is damn sexy...

I don't like non-flip phones. . . they get scratched, you call people while the phone is in your pocket. . . etc.

If you have Cingular or T-Mobile, you can get a Razr V3i, its a Razr with itunes (the camera is good on this phone too.) It has good sound quality, but the only downfall is that the headphone jack is mini usb, if that matters to you. The Slvr is pretty good, the music player is the same as the Razr V3i, which is good. Both of these phones have external speakers. You have to spend extra money for a memory card for these phones to store music, which can be pricey, and the largest card is 100 songs.

The V3i is already out? I thought it was being released in the U.S. in a couple of months.

Anyways the SLVR is thin and has a large screen. It has externel speakers. Its a pretty nice phone but if the V3i is out get that.

Haha, yeah but it's a really good phone, it updated the software from the old razr, aka better games! There's also another razr, it might be the V3x, but the thing is insane. It has like two cameras, a v-cast type thing for tv, and like a whole bunch of other stuff, but its like $500 or something. Definately getting that when I actually can have my own $500 to waste.

EDIT: Phone name change.

why would you need 2 cameras?

When video calling becomes available, there is one on the inside (right under the screen) and out.

Yeah I've been looking at the RAZR V3i, I want to get it but am afraid of buying it and it not working because it hasnt been released yet in the US so if anyone has one tell me how it has been working. The RAZR V3x is the one with 2 cameras.

I have the V3i, it works just fine with the Cingular network, the only problem is sometimes it says sim card pops out and you have to take it out and put it back in, no big deal. Ah, the V3x, sorry about the name mix up.

i have it - its pretty nice because its so slim, but you can only save 50 text messages - that sucks! other than that its just like a normal cell ....

The V3i seems alot better that the SLVR. Plus with the V3i you get screen protection because it is a flip phone.

I agree, although you can just lock the key pad so you don't misdial 911 etc, you just have to remember to unlock it when you want to actually use the thing. Plus the key pads can get all sorts of lint and misc gunk in them. If and when I get a new phone it's going to be another clamshell (probably the Razr) but I'll get a belt clip to keep it away from the harmful things in my pockets, whive have gone to town on my current phone.

yea thats prolly true but you know i dont touch my cell with silk gloves and i have it for more than a motnth now - there is no scratch in it at all even though it had to go trough some :dummy: while going out at night haha- props for that

but again, the 50 text limit really pisses me off!

I don't wanna hijack your thread but I figured this didn't need a thread for itself and it has to do with cellphones. Do you get charged roaming on text messages too?

The last cell phone megathread was closed down, and I don't know if you get charged for roaming with text messages
