Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Rochester play the first half of their season without him and Ryan in '05?

Why can't all 3 Powells "devote their time"? I might actually enjoy the MLL if they didn't play.

No, I take that back. I think I might miss Ryan Powell.....I did say might.

I gotta tell ya, I don't understand one bit why you kids idolize Casey. But whatever.

Is Brine going to be involed in the NLL outdoor league?
If so he might resurface there. Do you think is problems w/ Warrior were a factor in his leaving?

MLL is not having a very good off season

the major supplier/official supplier of the NLL is Reebok..

Could this be a sign that Reebok will buy Brine and they will be the NLL outdoor sponsor?

I did hear rumors while at the Jax tryout that Reebok was going to be the title sponsor, and that they were going to produce lax equipment. the means to produce this lax equipment were rumored to be coming from a major lacrosse company. and this company was supposed to be bought out..

of course this was all rumor at the time, but the whole reebok thing turned out to be true, so who knows..

pure speculation though..

(p.s. if Mikey doesn't play, and it turns out that reebok and brine have something going on, then u can speculate that this was premeditated)

What about Ryan Powell? he seems to stay above the fray.
He is quietly having a nice season in Portland, will he return to Roch?

I never heard anything about Reebok buying Brine, interesting concept

It is obvoius Casey Powell & Mikey have no love lost for Warrior

Just saw it in the paper this morning. This is not good news for the Rattlers.

The lids do look pretty cool, but aren't any better than other companies' higher end hockey helmets

I'm surprised anyone's excited about the gloves, though.

A rec league I play in had a pair of Chris Driscoll's Toronto Rock RBK gloves up for raffle at our end of season banquet. I put a few tickets in that box, but truth be told, this year's model is nothing special. They seem to be just CCM/RBK hockey gloves converted with flexy thumb and no inside wrist pad.

That's ridiculous, the reason RBK (formerly known as Reebok) got into lacrosse was to compete with Brine, Warrior, STX, and Gait/DeBeer as an equipment supplier (How good can RBK gloves be anyway, I love my Brine Kings).
RBK is owned by Adidas, who rivals Nike, especially now that they were the official sponsor of the World Cup in 2006 and are the official sponsor of the NFL and next Olympic Games in 2008.
What does all this mean?
They have a lot more money than Warrior, even after Warrior acquired Brine due to their world wide noteriety. Warrior (maybe) has a global reach of about 2 million people, Adidas (parent company of RBK) has a global reach of about 2 billion people.

Why do you think the average salary for the NLL is between 10,000 and 50,000/year where as the MLL pays its average players 100/practice and 450/game...you do the math. :read:

im gonna sound dumb but which one of the 3 was the best. Mikey is the best of the 3 correct?hmm depends on how you look at it. I think Mikey is quickest and has the best stick skills, But Ryan is more smarts on the field. I dunno thats jus how I look at it
