arm guards for highschool?

Not arm guards, but some kind of pad on your arm/elbow is required, I'm about 99% sure on that, I have never seen a photo of a college player without some kind of pad on their arm, whether it just be a very thin neopreme pad.

I know for highschool everyone must wear arm guards except for the goalie.
