OK. I am REALLY dreading tomorrow. 1st thing in the morning I am going to go to my grandparent's house to help them out around the house. This isn't going ot be easy work either. Tough yard work.
That part I don't mind, but from 3-5 pm, my life is gonna suck. I have track practice, and it is going to be the hardest practice yet. We are sprinting 18 400's. They are timed too, and we do them in about 65-70 secs, all 18 of them. For those of you who are not too good at math that is 4.5 miles. We are going to sprint 4.5 miles tomorrow, with only 2 mins in between each one. If I live through that, my legs are going to hate me.

hmmm im tired ajust from reading that. tomorrow i think i shall sleep in, watch some tv maybe play catch dye a lax head and watch more tv...maybe play xbox for the whole day...im very lazy

Why are you doing track and not lacrosse?
Because track is so much more rewarding for me than lax. This is my 1st year ever doing track, and I already have 5 medals in just 4 invitationals. Plus, I can still, and still do play lax all the time in my back yard. I get the best of both worlds.

Lol, I do track and lacrosse. I have track tommoro. God its gonna suck. I have to do a Hundred one step pattern. For triple jump.


For those who don't know.


start at line. Run 3 steps then do a jump form that point. Move to 5 steps. I have to go to 111. Not cool

I'm a jumper.

Long jump, Triple and Pole. But I quit Pole Vaulting it was too hard and its not in the provincials.

I used to run 50m dash but training is ridiculously boring.

I usually run 400's and I have run 2 800's
My PR in a 400 is 55 and my PR in the 800 is 2.14, on my 2nd time running it.
I have a meet saturday and I am running an open 8.
How about you?

I was going to have a meet today, but it got rained out, but I have one tommorow too.

I run a few different events:

400---56
800---2:06 (I lettered with that last week!!! I was sooooooooo happy!!!)
1600--5:03 (Im running another tommorow, i want to try and hit 4:55)
3200--never ran, thats what i was gunna do today, but got rained out-I was pissed
5k----18:34
High Jump--5' 2"
Long Jump--16' 3"

What grade are u in?

Yeah, yesterday at track we had to do 10 stairs, 4 400s and then 2 miles.

I am in 10th and this is my 1st year ever doing track. That's a pretty impressive 800 time. I have only run it 2x and I got 2.14 on my 2nd time. I got 2.24 my 1st time. I am running it again at a meet saturday and I am planning on going under 2.10, and I will need to if I want a medal.

I did track, and not even for that long.... but it was horrible. I'm a distance runner.... not a sprinter, but I sprinted to get in better shape for lax. Note to self, do not join track if you have A. knee problems forcing you out of gym your whole frosh year for physical therapy. B. chronic shin splints because of set knee problems, or C. ALL OF THE ABOVE. Let's just say... I appriciate only doing 10, 15, 20 sprints at practice or a 15 minute sprint jog drill and a street run (like today), instead of 500s until you vomit.

I am so, so, sorry.

thats what you get for joining a RUNNING sport. I mean, yeah, Lacrosse is a running sport... but not a RUNNING sport...

and i too will join in tomorrow, and have a giant mountain dew in your honor.

I think it's awesome that you guys run track...My outside linebacker football coach wanted me to run but I just didn't have the time between lacrosse & well lacrosse.haha......I think I'm going to run next year though just because I've been building up my speed more & more, & I don't think it'll take away from any lacrosse time other then some pass & catch & wall ball (it's gunna take what little study time i do study away) but it should work out...DO yall do indoor or outdoor?

OK well, I'm here. I survived the 18 400's in 85 degree weather, I think. It sucked so bad. But I did run my last one in 61 seconds :thumbsup:

Pretty much, yea. But we just do them for a work out. Next time we do quarters, we are doing 20.

I think it's awesome that you guys run track...My outside linebacker football coach wanted me to run but I just didn't have the time between lacrosse & well lacrosse.haha......I think I'm going to run next year though just because I've been building up my speed more & more, & I don't think it'll take away from any lacrosse time other then some pass & catch & wall ball (it's gunna take what little study time i do study away) but it should work out...DO yall do indoor or outdoor?

I did indoor over the winter to get in shape for lax, but then I kinda fell in love with it and found out I was good at it, so I am doing outdoor now.

So what intervals are you running them at? I never did catch that if they were 65-75 second intervals or rest 2mins once you finish interevals.

I swim and I hate doing long distance sets because you end up doing more of it at faster paces.

Umm, we sprint them and get timed on each one. Normally we do them about between 70ish and 75ish. Then after the group is done, we get 2 mins break. And then another one. After 6 we got to walk a lap, but it still sucks.

Yea, I could never do swimming, it takes way too much out of me, even for just a short amount of time.

my first time running was fall of this yera when i did XC, my PR is 18:34.this is my first track season. next year i want to run under 17:15. its gunna be tough though
