does any one have it? my friends has it and says its awesome but its ten bucks a month. I think its worth it if you can have millions of songs. What do you think?

If you listen to a lot of music at your computer, then sure, Napster and Rhapsody are pretty cool.

I think that it is a good deal if you dont have a MP3 player, because they will/do not transer to an mp3 player because they are of the wrong format. Also, after the year expires, they are gone. If you asked me, I think I would just ask my friends for songs and/or CDs that I wanted and then rip them to your computer.

I'm not sure, but they might both have free trials, so you can try them out. I personally like Rhapsody better, it feels more user-friendly and looks a lot nicer.

Too bad 99% of whats on the radio is absolute garbage.
edit - not just by my opinion but critically as well.

Maybe, but thats because you are also exposed to more music. People who are exposed to more music (regardless of legality) go to more concerts.
Although, one could say the price of CDs is holding back people from discovering new music.

Limewire Pro is also Illegal.
Well the program necessarily illegal, but it's the files on it that are... or at least that is what I have heard.

Agreed.
But I must agree with whoever said they discover more music with limewire.
Here's my way of discovering music:
1. www.pandora.com (finds music like the music you like).
2. After hearing the songs on pandora, I go to iTunes and look up the artist and other songs by them.
3. I download some stuff on LimeWire after researching it, listen to it for a while, if I like it. . .
4. Buy the CD and put it on the iPod. . . because Lord knows I can't live with 128kb songs and no liner notes.

I use Napster with my ipod. You just have to convert the files to not be file protected.

Negative good sir. Theres only reason why you would do that, but as long as its public it will be not allowed.

Brandon,
Napster is legal now, if that's what you're asking. You don't actually get to keep the songs, you can only listen to them on your computer.

You are allowed to transfer them to a portable device. The catch is that you must sync the device with your PC at least once a month. If you haven't paid that month, the songs are automatically removed from your device and your hard drive. I do not use subscription services because anything that can control your computer by removing files is known as spyware in my mind.

I go to www.archive.org and listen to streaming live shows in lossless format. Then I download the ones I like.
