If a player runs the ball up the field and scores, and then his stick is checked after the score was allowed and found illegal, does the goal still count or is it discounted?

The goal will be discounted for an illegal stick.

It is the only equipment illegality that, if found AFTER the goal, disallows the goal. If the ref notices the player had no mouthpiece, for instance, but didn't get a chance to blow his whistle before the shot, the goal will be disallowed because he noticed it BEFORE the shot but just didn't get the whistle to his mouth quickly enough.

BTW: if A2 scored, but received a pass from A3, and A3's stick is found illegal before the restart, the goal COUNTS. Only an illegal crosse by the SHOOTER negates a goal.

Also, if A1 kicks the ball into the goal, but then his stick is discovered to be illegal before play restarts, the goal is disallowed even though he didn't use his stick to score it.
