Have any of you read this series of books? In my opinion these are some great books. The series is based on a 6 year old child who is monitored by the government, and sent to a school in space to become a commander of a ship that will fight the aliens that are trying to destroy earth. Well, thats the first one at least, there are 7 or 8 books in the whole series, but it all starts from Ender's game. I would recommend this series to y'all if you wanna read a type of science fiction thats not necessarily...well..."weird"(i dont really know the right word to use, but i mean those weird science fiction books that have a bunch of weird characters...hmm sry dont know how to describe it).

But the series gets more complicated towards the middle of the series then goes back to being action packed.

I read Shadow of the Hegemon (and the one before it...not Ender's shadow. Unless I'm thinking of the one after. Can't remember names, heh) and got hooked again, but then couldn't find my books. :( Oh well.
Amazing series.

I'm quite possibly THE ender fan. firstly the movie has been stalling around for a few years, but thankfully Warner Brother's studios re-optioned the story at the beginning of this year. secondly, is anyone's favorite character not Ender wiggin at all?

bean's, just to clarify. I just finished re-reading Xenocide for the 100th time... I love them all. The Shadow books are easier to read because it's set on earth, but the other line is deeper/more meaningful, imo.

Can anyone tell me which of them are actually good? I read Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow and loved them but the others, from what I have been told, are much slower. I have only been recommended those two I mentioned above. So which of the others are "action packed?"

I liked ender's game but didn't like ender's shadow so I could never finish it. Lucky for me, it was a summer reading book for 7th grade and I had already read it in 6th grade.

yo these books are so tight, every darn one of them, i love everything OSC has ever written except for the stupid ones about christopher columbus and stuff, ive read the ender series(all 8) atleast 4 and 1/2 times, the Homecoming series 2 times, the seventh son once, worthing saga all the short stories, i mean everything, He is my alltime favorite author, and i hope they dont make a movie cause the wll screw everything up and i will hate them forever, my fav chaaracters are peter, dink , and the ender/peter mix in children of the mind

yea the order is:
Ender's Game-Ender's Shadow
Shadow of the Hegemon
Shadow Puppets
Shadow of the Giant
Speaker for the Dead
Xenocide
Children of the Mind
and yea the movie is not a rumor, it is including both ender's game and Ender's Shadow into one and looks to come out no sooner then 2008, but that only increases how amazing the effects are going to be for it, i cannot wait :D

Thats the wrong order. The shadow series is a completely different series than the Ender series.
Real order is this:
Ender's Game-Ender's Shadow
Speaker for the Dead
Xenocide
Children of the Mind
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shadow of the Hegemon
Shadow Puppets
Shadow of the Giant
Even though he Ender would still be in space travel during the Shadow series the Shadow series takes place on earth. Totally different plot, it has nothing to do with fighting the buggers or anything.

I read the summary of Enders Game on wikipedia a week or 2 ago, and Halo seems pretty similar to them. I definatly would not mind reading the Enders series.
