When measuring a torque, I measure from sidewall to sidewall. You should be careful though. I officiated a youth game last night and my partner picked an attackmen who happened to be using a torque. It measured 6.25. 3 min NR - stick could not return to the game.
I play with a torque and the head has a propensity to "pinch" through normal play. Fortunately - they do not perform stick checks in the old man club league.

I asked a q about this awhile ago and laxref responded that it was #2. I can see the argument for #1 though, but I wouldn't throw a flag on it.

Well I use a torque and I am pretty sure that the ref, when he checked mine, he measured what is shown in the first picture, or from the inner most points, and not the outside of the sidewalls. Why do they measure from the outside rather than the inside, because can't someone just flare in their top sidewalls to kind of 'sidestep' the rule?
Thanks for the help

The measurment is at the top of the sidewall, inside measurement, widest point.

So is that #1 or #2 in the pics?

I believe it is #2, but it's hard to tell with those pictures.
