The worst things in school

What do you guys think is the worst thing about school. I think it is Exams, term papers. And the standerdized testing. We have those next week :sad:

id have to say just doing hw and having to study cuz it cuts into ur free time and its always in the back of ur head

i actually like standardized testing cuz at my school we always end up having hours of free time and assemblies that u can justlisten to ur ipod and sleep in

The inclass essays are alright, because if it sucks, you could always say you were being rushed and couldn't take the time you wanted to on it.

The part I hate its definately the repition. It's the same thing every single day and its driving me INSANE. What I would do for block scheduling, and no uniforms...

i would have to say homework, because when i get home, the last thing i want to do is be back in school, and doing homework is just like being in school. plus my math teacher is a *****. she hates me so much and shes always like "i know your smart enough to do this, you just dont want to", and im like EXACTLY, i could if i wanted to, but guess what, i DONT!

im gunna have to say homework. work in school is alright because you are required to be there so might as well do something to pass the time. but once i get home from lacrosse which is usually around 9 or so every night i have to eat dinner and shower and the last thing i want to do is school work that is useless. also the whole grading system. 7 or so letters can deceide pretty much the rest of your life. seems unfair to me

i hate those teachers who think that their class is the only class that you have. My english teacher assigns the class like huge essays about twice a week, they are usually a couple pages long... not fun.

Poetry sucks ginormously in my book. That is pretty much #1 for me. I cant stand trying to do all that stuff. I also highly dislike foreign langauge tests. I dont really want to talk to anyone if they cant speak english anyways, and im sure as hell not going to mexico again lol. Hmm, what else, Math is a pain, but Social studies is the best. The homework in general sucks too.

sometimes it seems teachers go out of their way to make things difficult for athletes (i know its not true but in HS i remember having tests the day after games all the time)

block schedualing is even worse. its the same four classes every day, for about 90 min. yeah, you get four new ones in january, but its still the same thing.

and uniforms are not really a big deal. Shirt and tie every day for me, but i dont care.

Reports and stuff that is assigned over break, I mean, it is OUR BREAK. That and when teachers complain about grading stuff, I mean, if you don't want to grade it, do not assign it. Haha i know a pair of twins whose parents our professors @ UNR, they grade way more then my teachers and have no problem with it.

I never liked standardized testing as it general proved nothing other than one can study for a test rather than can they give a well thought summation/application of curriculum learned. Fortunately for me, my interviews with Oberlin prior to acceptance had them inform me that is how they felt and were more concerned with what I had applied in class etc.

Personally I hate my PE class, the teacher wastes 30 min a day out of a 50 min period talking about stuff we could care less about it, also english, I hate english, the teacher is a........... Man, and band class, cause my band teacher acts like his class is mre important than all my other classes, and expects me to spend extra time on his stuff than math, etc. Like once I was taking a math test and I wasn't done, so I had to stay after, and was 20 min. late (excused) to band. So the band teacher, even though i had a note and told him the story started saying that I should put more value into band and that I should make more my testing time more productive. wtf? Anyways I think I'll take super long on standardizing tests tommarow, so I can just skip his class and have a valid excuse. Not really but I want to. K Im done.
