It's a shame that the Rock can't play as a team. Watson held them in for as long as he could, but when you can't put things together as a team, you will lose. Toronto has alot of talent but they all like to be the hero. They sure made O'Toole look good shoting right at him. They really need to get rid of Terry Sanderson as coach, he bloody sucks. Good luck Rochester.

well said, and it's also good for the Rock, because now they know that they are not lacrosse gods, and can be beaten

I'm also a firm believer that its better for the game if someone else wins. I would like to see a new team win. An American team. That way the NLL can broaden its horizens to new markets and increase its US exposure.

After an 0-4 start, did anyone really figure the Rock were champions this year?
Just a damned shame to be beaten by Rochester, twice, to end the year.
What's with the Sanderson haters anyway? He gutted and re-tooled a mediocre 2004 team and won the 2005 title. Now, the team stagnated a bit in 2006, so it's time to gut and retool it for a title run in 2007. He did it once, he can do it again.
Any thoughts on what to do with the Rock?
I'm thinking that more speed on defense is a damned good idea. Beyond that, it's time to figure out who the goalie of the future is, and get that guy ready in a hurry. Watson was up and down a bit more this year than in previous years, and I'm not sure he has more than a year or two left.
The offense needs a bit of a kick in the arse as well.......2 games against Rochester, only 15 goals scored. They're stagnating again and need to get some more spark.

its ok, im a big rock fan but they needed a nice kick up their butt to make them realize they can't win unless they do have competition

I guess you didn't hear about Sanderson's episode in Minnesota. Not a way for a coach to be behaving.

I heard a few things from a player's relative, but not the whole story.
Anyway, so far as I know, it's just an isolated incident where he lost his cool and did something dumb.......most of us have been there, so I'm not going to hate him for it unless I hear something that makes me change my mind.
I don't think it ever made the media, but If you have links to news articles covering what happened, I'd love to read them. If you'd care to elaborate on what you know through a private message, I'd love to hear that as well.
