Do Howitzer d-poles come solid? I've only seen them at my local lax store and they're hollow which doesn't seem to me like they would be very durable. I remember hearing about how Harrow makes their shafts hollow, semi-hollow, and solid but it doesn't say anything about that on their website. Will someone please clarify this for me.

harrow poles are a bit on the heavier side (although definately not unbearbly so) but it means that you get some nice heavy hacks in.

a Harrow D-pole would be amazing heavy if it was solid, theres no way they sell solid shafts

Dont quote me on this but I think thats a fairly "dated" review and I believe they changed their shaft design on the inside since then. I know they have on their attack length shafts due to their heads that fit inside the shaft. Im not sure about their Dshafts though.
Edit: Oh and scorpion you are one lucky man to have a Harrow Sponsorship

they make them, but my coach threw a poke check with his harrow d-pole its a week old and about the top 5 inchs of the shaft completely snapped off so take that into account before buying one
I cracked a defenders Harrow D-Pole today on a relatively weak check.

i think harrow must have alot of problems with the d- pole, because ive seen two broken on not very ferocious checks

I'm considering getting one myself. I'm incredibly hard on sticks, and have heard good things about how tough these things can be.
I'm going to head up to Dr. Laxx and check em out. If I don't like what I see/hear, I'll reconsider, but right now, I'm leaning toward an H2 with a Howitzer shaft. I just hope they're not any heavier than a 7075.

I wouldnt recommend it. I would go with just a straight up ignite. Not optra, or supra. Just ignite.

Seriously? I rock the Brine 7075, whichever Ignite version that is. I'm a VERY hard checker. I just bent my old 7075, and replaced it with a newer version.
I play in the ALL, so my equipment has to hold up to banging on some big guys.
I want something VERY strong, but light. Is there something better than what I have now?

they have started making their poles hollow, and i go through 'em like toothpicks. it took me a whole 45 minutes to break my first one.

down on harrow poles. they are heavy and break easily. unless you desire to spend large sums of money buying new sticks, i reccomend against it.

Ive had a howitzer shorty for 4 months now and i love it. The paint chips off easily, but ive taken some vicous hacks. Of the people ive talk to that have played with them longer than i have, they say they're really strong. However, supposedly they dont dent or bend, they straight up shatter.
As with any stick, there are people who love'em and people who hate'em. The only way your gunna find out if you like'em is by pickin one up and playin with it.
