I am looking to buy a Revolution head, as some of you might already know. I have already done some reaserch, and am wondering what type of stringing you defensive players use in your pockets. I want to hear input in what stringing is the best for defense, and why. What stringing is the easiest to catch with. Sorry if this should be in the stringing section, or doesn't meet the equipment forum guidelines.

Catapulation or regular hard mesh is where its at.

Is the hard mesh, soft mesh, or traditional better for catching and playing defense?

Unfortunatley for you, this is entirely preference of the defender. Some may liek hard mesh some liek soft some trad. Everyone is different. Try different styles out and see what works.

i notice that alot of defenders like the bigger dimonds becuase they have better hold...

personally i like to just shoot around and i use hard.

A lot of our defensemen used soft mesh so that it was easier to catch bullet passes while half field clearing. It also makes it easier to snag skip passes if you have soft mesh instead of hard.

If you have the time and money, do what slinky said and try out a couple various mesh styles. Check out jimalax and buy soft/hard mesh.

i have also noticed D using bigger diamonds wiht low bag pockets. This way they can catch the ball well, and still have good control when they get it.

i prefer 6 diamond. you might as well go with big diamonds on a dpole, the extra hold helps you out a lot
