Illegal Stick slide....

The ref yesterday checked our guys stick and it was illegal but he let it slide...it kind of made me feel like wow if we win this game we win because he let that go becuase the kid whose stick got checked was our best player and the score was 5-4 us.....has anyone else had a cool/kind gay ref like this?

What age group do you play in that he let a flagrant illegal stick "slide"? I'm sure the other teams coach gave the ref a terrible report, deservedly
