Haha... Well, to tell the honest truth, I hate it. This is like the worst head for stringing and mesh i have encountered, no joke. If you can string a very nice traditional or custom you may like it. But its just not there for me. Its got some weird stringing holes, that are so poorly designed. its kind of sad. Along with that its really flexible, making it kind of bad for midfeild. The 3 good factors of it are Pinch, Weight, and Durability. THe pinch is really tight, making for very good ball handling. it is very light, and very durable, i havent yet broken it, and i am kind of trying to so i cant vent my rage at how it performs onto itself. So, that is my oppinion, people can feel free to flame me, and go "Durr, this hed is da bst eva, ur stoopid mrflax" or something like that, i could care less, but i really dont care for this head. You would be much better off spending the extra 10-15 bucks on a torque or something.

I have one as my backup head(to a torque). It's not bad. It takes a while to string a good pocket in, but once you do, it serves it's purpose.

I honestly hate it. Its such a stupid head. Its more STX crap like the V-Groove. YOu can get a different head thats much better for a diff price.

I've heard it's extremely hard to string, so beware.

yeah dude, some one aksed me to string one with custom, and i could not get the sidewalls right, because its like you just run the string from top to bottom if that makes sence

I relooked at the Primer when stringing my custom pocket on it, and realized that it could be pretty easy to string even if you do single sidewalls. The sidewall holes end about an inch high so it is basically impossible to get a low pocket.

I don't know what you guys mean, but I have a friend who had no trouble stringing one. And it's strung well, too. I have only played with it a bit but I like it a lot.

i like my primer, its different to string, but i wouldn't exactly call it hard. Its got a nice pinch, its light, decent scoop. Whats not to like??

We all know that you wrote a review, many of us have read it, and you have told us numerous times. It was informative, but it could have been better. Why are you being so whiney? Some people like to hear more than one person's opinion on a subject.

For all who can not get a sexy pocket in there STX Primer, here are some pictures of my sexy pocket that throws off of the shooters, not the lip. Has a nice crisp release (for me)

Dang-o, that has a sweet pinch. Cant wait to get mine!

is it me, or does the primer really remind you of a liquid w/out floating sidewalls?

OUL i think the pinch is like the liquid but in my opinion the liquid flares more and theres the fact that the primer is WAY lighter.

yeah, the primer obviously doesnt have the same pinch, but the sidewall and the overall look of the head are very reminiscent of the liquid.

we shall see.

the pinch also reminds me of a duece alot. i wish they had a 2nd gen primer with normal sidewall holes. it would really help the head sell i think.

The gforce has holes like the primer. i didnt really find it that hard to string. If all else fails, you can always use double sidewalls.

hmm. i never noticed that.its not bad i just dont like it for mesh as much. i think its nicer for tradish/custom, which is what a prefer.

I've heard it's extremely hard to string, so beware.

Haha I had to string one for a guy on my team yesterday (jimalax hard). It took my like 45 minutes!

I dont know if I made up a way to string it, but it came out really, really nice.

It throws consistantly, it looks tight, and it has a decent pocket (for 1 day after stringing).

I dont know though, I was gonna order one... but so many people dont like it. And its flimsy? I havent really used one too much, and I faceoff so I dont want anything that will warp really quickly.

Ill try and get some pictures up of the stringing so you can see how I did it.

Warrior

It really isn't that hard to string, like the first few holes you string normal...Then just go through the mesh like you would from the face of the head...Up the hole then down the other side.. Do that all the way down and you will have a pretty nice consistant pocket. The lace is kind of Locked in the vertical holes so they will not move.

i just got my Primer in the mail today (thanks pascoe) and the pinch is actually way tighter than i thought. I cant wait to string it tonight!

I stick with my previous statement. But as for stringing, if you string it like you normally string a head it turns out out fine. Just the holes are tiny.

Dude, weak. Torques are sweet.

I think he was making the point that it's preference, so you shouldn't knock something that other people might like...
I doubt he would actually just say, "Torques suck. Period.", because that would just be foolish.

I have a torque also, and i am in love, but i dont want to pass judgement on the Primer just yet.
