OK, the rule book says that the ball must be resting on the ball stop when the stick is held upright. So far this season, I'm lucky to get a stick wherein the ball even TOUCHES the ballstop.
A lot of kids sort of string a shelf behind the stop for the ball to rest on, and a few others have crimped their mesh above the ball stop so that the ball is an inch or so above the stop.
Are you guys seeing this? Do you flag it when you do?
